The other night I dreamed that I was being chased by a stuffed green crocodile.  But it had real teeth!!!  It had escaped from the science lab at a local university.  It was chasing me everywhere, inside buildings, then out of them.  And I would trick it, like point to something outside, after which it would take off out the door, only to find nothing, and a locked door behind it.  So it would get mad and come in the front door!  I woke up before it ever caught me.  And I wasn't out of breath, either!

Recently I have had several dreams where I am competing in the Olympics, in the speed swimming competition.  It is stressful for sure, b/c I am not a speed swimmer!!  In all of the dreams, it is almost my turn to swim, and have the anxiety that I am not prepared to undertake the task, but also afraid to tell anyone that I am not really an Olympian!!

Prophetic Dream

My SON had a cool dream the other night!  Actually, it wasn't cool for him at the time.  He dreamed that the outlet next to his bed caught on fire, and smoke was coming out of it.  For the next two nights, he wouldn't sleep in his bed.  Then, today, his class went on a field trip to the Fire Station.  One of the things they did was to get into the Kids' Smokehouse, where there was a similation of a fire, with smoke coming out of a hole in the wall, and then they had to practice escaping.  When they were in the smokehouse, the fireman was talking to them about fire safety, and pointed to an outlet on the wall, and explained how it can cause fire, and also burn or shock someone.  My jaw dropped at all this, b/c I remembered what my son had dreamed!  Wow - that is cool.

The other night I dreamed I was driving down the highway, and I came to a wooded area near my house.  Just off the road there was a gigantic snake that was as long as 3 cars, and a baby snake about the size of the large snakes at the zoo.  The wierd thing was that they were purple & white striped!!  I asked a friend if they were dangerous, and she said, "Oh, don't worry about it, they've been there for years."  {=0

T & A for Beverages

The other morning I woke up, and stood up, and I was still in somewhat of a sleepy state.  I went to take a sip of my lukewarm tea, which was in a mug on my bedside table from the night before.  After picking up the mug and bringing it to my face, I noticed there was none left.  The first thought that came to my head was, "Oh, great.  My tea is absent!!"  Then I chuckled at myself as I continued to awaken.

Riding the Alpha Waves! (Not Delta, of course)

About once every couple of weeks, I dream that I am flying on an airplane.  In a few of the dreams I am racing the clock to get to the terminal.  Just the other night I dreamed I was in a layover of 2 flights, so I stopped by a an old, familiar church to sing with a friend.  Suddenly I realized that I was not dressed for the occasion, but was in a bikini!  So my Mom took me home, which was nearby.  I got some more suitable clothes and put them on.  So I asked my Mom, "Maybe we should just leave our suitcases here, so we won't have to pay a baggage check fee for our next flight, since our destination is home anyway."  She said, "No, they might start wondering where are suitcases are, since they have numbers on them."  So we left home, so we could go to the airport and fly home.  ????

Dreams in Overdrive

I dreamed so much last night, it is hard to remenber it all, and also to keep it straight from reality!!  I do remember dreaming that I was using an earring to unlock doors in my house that my kids had locked - interesting.  Also having conversations with various people about what is kosher to eat at Passover.  Some parts of the dreams were work-related, but I don't remember specifics.  Will have to record them as soon as I wake up next time.

Outlandish Bling!

Two nights ago I dreamed that I was making earrings.  As I was making them, some of the wire I was using flew up and attached itself to my nose.  I had one large ball of wire attached to each nostril.  I didn't quite know what to do about it, and I was in a hurry, so I just left it there.  I was going to a church service with a friend.  We went over to a third friend's house to have a bite to eat before the service.  Just before it was time to leave, I asked my friend #1, what she thought of my nose rings, "Are they too obnoxious?"  She replied, "You look rough."  So I borrowed some jewelry tools from my friend #2, and cut the wire, pulling a little at a time, until all of the wire was out of my nose.  Then we were on our way!!

Sailing the Seven Seas

Last night I dreamed I was hosting a party on a ship.  It was for all my friends, and many of their friends.  It was a big shendig! lol  We had a band, playing worship music, speakers, dancing, a costume party, food, and just general schmoozing.  It was a blast!  The event lasted several days.  Everyone had a great time.  I started planning for the next voyage.

An Hour Late and a Shower Short

Every once in awhile I have a dream that I am running late to school or work (depending on the particular dream).  Usually I either can't get there, or I show up without having had a shower, sometimes still in pajamas!  Sometimes it is like I am trying so hard to get there, but I have to do this or that, and usually that involves talking to various people who don't seem to realize that I'm in a hurry!  I try to explain it, but no one seems to get it.  And usually I'm terribly embarrassed, because I look like I just rolled out of bed.  In some of the dreams, I have a towel and clothes, and I'm going into a bathroom or locker room, desperately trying to get my shower!  Various settings have been camp, school, college, hospital, and home.  This is an unpleasant dream for sure.

My Daughter(s)

Recently I have had dreams where I have adopted a little baby girl, a toddler.  Last night there were twins.  My dream consists of being given the girls, and me adopting them and taking care of them.  In the dreams I am confused as to why I have these girls, because I don't remember how they got there, just that I adopted them.  They are like Shirley Temple, with lots of curls and frilly dresses.

Variations on Common Theme

I haven't had this dream in quite awhile, but I have it, or variations of it, often. 
I dream I am living in or moving back into a house that we lived in 6 years ago.  It was a small house, but was quaint, and was well-built, an older house.  My dream consists of finding other rooms, floors, or wings that I didn't know existed.  Suddenly the house becomes larger in square footage, due to the discovery.  I am elated, because now my whole family can fit comfortably into the house that was so near and dear.  The extra wings, floors, rooms, etc. in my dreams have been elaborate in nature, sometimes equating to the level of an 1800s mansion.  One dream had renovations of the original structure, to make it more modern and functional.

Long-Distance Swimming

I have variations of this dream quite a bit.  I was swimming in quiet, deep, opaque waters.  I kept pressing on to reach my destination, which was far away.  Despite discouragement from others, I pressed on towards my goal.

Marching in the Infantry

Once I dreamed that the Enemy Powers were after us.  We, along with some old friends, were at my grandparents' farm, and we were ordered to sit on the grass.  Then we snuck into an old building to hide.  After climbing up and down what seemed like a million stairs, we ran across the lawn to my parents' house, while dodging arrows being shot at us!  We arrived at the house, and went down to the lowest level, where my parents had a bomb shelter, completely equipped with leather furniture, a planning table, and emergency equipment in a drawer under every seat.  We stayed there until it was safe!

What Time is It?

Just last night, I had a dream that I was at a party with my kids, and a good friend from school.  We had fun catching rabbits and a kitten.  We put them in a cage.  To our dismay, the cage was full of water!  In fear that the cat wouldn't like the water, much less drown, I grabbed her and took her in the house.  Then we brought the rabbits into the house, a momma and several baby rabbits.  There we made a place for them to stay.  It was getting late, 4:06am to be exact, so we decided to call it a night.  Then I woke up, and it was 6:23am in real life.

A New Way to Travel

Once I had a dream that I was watching TV at the house where I spent some of my growing-up years.  As I was watching a movie about a school, suddenly I found myself in the movie!  I was walking down the hallway.  Cutting class, I went outside, then started flying!  Only I wasn't flying in the usual Super-Man style, I was scooting through the air!!  LOL  I passed by a playground, then landed at the beach.  There I saw my 6th-grade teacher floating in a lawn chair in the ocean, eating a hot dog.  I noticed the water was bright blue.  Next, I went inside a hut, and saw another teacher of mine cooking the hotdogs.  I decided not to eat one, then headed back to school.  What an adventure!
